Education for all students in Manitoba starts in the classroom with the Core Team that includes the student, parent and teacher.  To know the strengths and understand the students in their classrooms teachers use class and student profile to record information about their students.  Profiles allow teachers to make program and evaluation decisions for students.   When need arises decisions can be made to involve PWSD Student Services to assist in whole class consultation or student-specific referral to division clinicians.  Park West School Division bases the Student Services Support Model on the tiered support of the Response to Intervention RTI model.  The RTI model is usually composed of three different tiers, each one providing different levels of support in order to assist students in achieving success.
