High School Apprenticeship

The High School Apprenticeship Program falls within the Senior Years Technology Education Program.  In Manitoba, apprenticeship training is administered by Apprenticeship Manitoba of Advanced Education , Skills and Immigration. Apprenticeship is a training relationship involving a trainee (known as apprentice), an employer, and Apprenticeship Manitoba.

Students may earn from 1 - 8 high school credits.  Each credit requires 110 hours of paid work experience. A student must be 16 years of age (15 in the cook trade) and parent/guardian permission must be granted to participate in the program.
