Manitoba Association of Parent Councils
The Manitoba Association of Parent Councils (MAPC) is an organization of school based parent groups throughout Manitoba and is one of the five major stakeholders in education. MAPC is dedicated to promoting meaningful involvement of parents and caregivers within school communities to improve the education and well-being of children in Manitoba. MAPC is recognized as the representative of school-based parent groups in Manitoba (outside the francophone school division).
MAPC provides resources to member parent groups and includes supports such as professional development presentations; invitations to special events; constitution development and enhancing communication between parents and administrators.

How many schools are there in the Park West School Division?

There are 15 schools in the Park West School Division.  Please visit Our Schools page for a complete list.

How do I register my child for Kindergarten?

Schools in the Division will advertise their Kindergarten registration days in the local newspaper.

Which school will my child attend?

The Division's schools serve specific catchment areas. Your child will attend in your catchment area.

Can I send my child to a school outside my catchment area?

In order to send your child to a school outside of your catchment area, a school of choice form will need to be filled out.

If I wish to use a room in one of the schools to hold an event, how do I book a room?

The Park West School Division wishes to promote community involvement in the schools as much as it is possible, and therefore makes its' facilities available to the community for after school hour activities. View our forms page to read the policy.

How many credits does my child need to graduate?

The required number of credits to graduate is 30. Visit our graduation requirements page for further information.
